Woosh! A quick update about the UV Packing algorithm I'm working on currently: (which has a poly count independent performance, so it took 1 sec on a Single Thread :3)
@Froyok got to work on a few bugs, and figure out a method for dealing with out of 0 to 1 uv's than i will release it. even know it is still very slow atm for large selections
It will be free so don't worry, there is no reason otherwise in showing it here. That html sprite packing is related to that as well and it will come all in 1 tool box- with even more sprite and iPhone related dev tools.
Working on 3d displacement for UDK and a script that will make life easier: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iuv4TY2-gdA"]3D Vector Displacement - UDK (DX9 WorldPositionOffset) - Test#1 - YouTube[/ame]
Damn! Autocomplete just got 1 zillion times more usefull :D Thanks for posting that. Its worth adding 'then' and 'do' to the list. makes it much less annoying havardsc: that looks really really usefull.
not currently working on but rather finished it :) ! I worked on this for the last 1,5 year and called it done recently. GMH2 a script to help user convert polygon meshes to Maya Hair with 1 click : infor page : GMH2 BY THUNDERCLOUD
I was checking out the main site. Can this be used/ easily used in c#? I do like the idea of the thumbs at least being in 1 database file. Would the end user have to install it, or is it a dll reference ?
Worked on the implementation of "dynamic boolean" for my CREASE+ topic http://polycount.com/discussion/173981/maya-crease-edges-based-tool-for-hard-surface/p1?new=1 [noparse]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nV9z4jpAQk
I'm starting on a set of UV visualisation / analysis / manipulation tools for fbx files using standalone python with a view to being able grab stats and find possible optimisations on big libraries of assets step 1 is obviously to visualise some UVs Step 2 will probably be determining coverage and other obvious stats but…
made a small update tonight, now it supports UV's that are offset outside the 0 to 1 space. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYcGuCfoaaY&"]psLinkAlpha1.01 - YouTube[/ame] music on both videos is by Darren Korb, and is from the bastion soundtrack.
