thanks guys Both of your opinions are correct, definite design considerations I need to keep in mind. Polycount fucking ROCKS !!!! great feedback :) At this point I am moving on to presentations shots, I have started to modify #2 . I should have some examples soon .
Thanks Dreyzie! Awesome ideas, I'll be sure to implement them and post an update soon! I"ve been considering making something like an "objective" to draw the eye, so I think I'm going to mess with some of the props and construct something more coherent. Thanks again!
Are you planning on getting into ZBrush? If you want to do character art professionally, you would want to pick that up rather soon. Google references for property character topology for video games sometime. If you handed this off to a rigger, they would probably try to attack you :P
Thanks for your feedback everyone! I agree with the really dark block, I'll be fixing that soon. Also, on the color variation topic... I'm trying to do something like that but I find that it looks very...plain and I like the monochrome version better. I'll post that one too.
Thanks @AGoodFella, I appericate your feedback. I've made changes to my death and uploaded a new one critique welcome as ever, I need to move onto the next animation soon. Edit: would help if I put the link - https://syncsketch.com/sketch/113455#123852
I think they are simply targeting a different niche. They don't want to compete in the "console wars" with PS4/Xbox for the best hardware/graphics. They are comfortly sitting in the low budget & unique niche with all their recent games/consoles and I don't expect them to push out of that niche anytime soon.
Thank you Hito! I will add some more minute movements as well as more animation sets and I'll tweak motions manually to avoid robotic looking. Right now I'm stuck with bones understanding wich slows my progress severely. Will try to go back to it soon.
Thank you for answers! Expression has not been intentional but 'oversized' cheeks yes. I'm treating this sculpt as a lesson and I wanted all the male head fetures like squared jaw eyebrows cheek bones to be seen clearly. If it is right place then I'm going show the progress soon :-)
Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on making a more sophisticated UI that matches the character styles. I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford to make new backgrounds in a cartoon style - but I might get away with 2/3 of the assets meshing together well. Will post updates here soon! :)
Haven't had too much time to work on this so I'm a bit behind where I want to be right now. But high poly work is almost done I think, so I'll be able to start the low poly model soon. Hopefully I'll be able to finish in time.
