Yep, just tried that. Flipping the faces wont change it. Like i said before, changing the view mode to perspective put things back together. Looks like the problem seams to be connected with the ortographic view. Sorry for the newbie question but normalize you mean apply the Normal modifier or Normalize spline modifier? -

Some zbrush work :D I made a cartoony version of rihanna at first- (I'm still working on it though XD) And then pulled something else out at the end- Just for fun- Also the conversion caused the eyes in the front view to lose its colour somehow- but its supposed to be the colour on the 3/4 view- -

Thanks a lot for the input! I agree. Do you have any suggestions for a low poly count for a 1st person view and 3rd person view? I'm very new to normal mapping. Thanks a lot for your input! Do you think the new high poly Cylinder looks ok for these purposes? -

View count is available by hovering your mouse over the last posters name to the right of the thread title. The WAYWO thread for example has 1,062,568 views... I like the image wall idea with random large size thumbnails. I just wish I had more coding knowledge to make it happen... -

Hmm the only things thats missing in expert view for me is being able to pick an object's coordinate system (View, World, Local, Pick), there seems to be no entry for this in the max config to bind or place it in quads. Nvrmind, in expert mode, the Ribbon was hiding my Main toolbar, so i just dragged it to the side. -

I also agree that I don't think your weapon's tri count should be as high as for what it is. It's almost as much as your character without having as much detail. Think about what view your weapon will be viewed from, 3rd person, 1st person? That should help you optimize a bit. -

only a modelEditor panel/window can toggle -wireframeOnShaded :( however, if yer only editing 1 UV at a time, or a series of uv's that in combination do not make a complete boundary of a face..view > view contained face will clear the wireframe ( since no face are contained ) If this is not the case then only the enclosed… -

hey alpha, the way I link em is to drag em into my dropbox folder, right click and hit view in dropbox website, then click the image in dropbox, and once that comes up hit the thing in the bottom right for "View original" and copy the url from that. just hitting that stupid share thing doesn't work.
