In my experience, GDC is a much more friendly environment than any of the local networking meetups I'be been to (excepting the Polycount one). -

Foxmarks is great, very helpful going between work and home. It stores them locally, helpful if their service ever goes out of business. -

Change your rotation selection type to local. That usually fixes any of those problems. Also make sure you are not in biped mode. -

Xenobond: the game came out on both cd's and dvd's. I'm tempted to get this on steam since the expansion alone is $20 at the local stores. -
