Hi, this is the lastest 3d prop i worked on and now, i'm trying to make a vending machine based around the vendo series from the 40-50's and the ones already existing in the Fallout universe. :)
Another night of adding props and messing around with lighting :) //=================================================================== Recorded a stream for this; http://www.twitch.tv/khazual/b/400113237 End result @ 2:46:50 including me making this post like a scrub
Yeah 300 seems way to high. You can fake it with normal maps. 50 tris seems better. And the papers on the board should be part of the texture, not extra geometry, unless the player looks at it a lot.
thanks a lot mate, i'll try to do a better job next time. I actually plan on doing a full Fourmille :D Can't believe it's day 50 and no beefcake. Darksiders inspiration stuff
there are roughly 2000 work hours (50 work weeks) in a year given that you get couple weeks vacation. without vacation you get 52 work weeks and 2080 work hours in a year.
Followed the image link to its source, and dug around a little (not hard to do, hint hint!). It was done in Illustrator, not in 3D. And he has some tutorials on the site... http://pixel-pusher.co.uk/?p=50
His legs are about as long as they should be - a bit less than 50% of his total height, measuring from sole to bottom of crotch. They could stand to be an inch or two longer, but they're pretty close.
Of course? It'd be nice to have the editor w/out the Gears assets so I suppose theres some sense in releasing it as a download (re: Crysis). However, I'll just pony up the $50.
About 50% done... and a proof that it transforms, as well: Still gotta add what details I can, especially on the helmet, then make the specular and environment maps. So... anyone able to guess who it is, yet?
