I sculpted the brick inside the mudbox took it into the 3dsmax and run the ProOptimizer to reduce the polycount after that i made a wall which I exported as Obj. into the xnormal to bake the maps.
Heres a link to the obj, maya scene and normal map. Thanks for taking a look. Hopefully its nothing too embarrassingly obvious:) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29382022/face%20lp.rar
Hi EGGO, this is Miranda from Reallusion. We are not sure about what the cause is from your description. Can you send the OBJ files to us? (event@reallusion.com) Thanks!
I have the same issue with all the obj I exported except the samples files by quixel. I use 3dsmax 2014 64bits and DDO 1.6. The settings in 3dsmax to export are:
I have seen this happen before, there are a couple of fixes but the one I remember doing was exporting the meshes as objs or fbx to a new scene and then reimporting or working with that new scene instead.
Usually what I do is I export the mesh as OBJ, but I uncheck vertex colors at the export window. Then, just reimport. Should work. Not sure what causes this though.
Yes, but this doesn't help the issue. For some reason whenever I import OBJ with UVs to max and then as much as touch one poly, UVs are gone. Cant do anything atm.
Getting models into the Suite should be a pretty simple process - just export as *.FBX or *.OBJ and import. We have a tutorial for Octane on Quixel.se/learn - check it out!
