Thanks for the suggestions guys. @codyaq2 I deleted the folder and still nothing. This is the first time using/installing 3DS Max so I don't have any saved settings. @Shaz_Snow I've already tried repairing the install. I found some service packs on the Autodesk website and installed them as well but that didn't fix it… -

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. The behaviour really is pervasive when it comes to music, even more so than game art. The trouble is there also aren't enough musicians appropriately valuing their work - and newbies (and even experienced people wanting to shift across media) offering their services for free when perhaps… -

Should be working. Sometimes I've had to move the time slider back and forth for the skin to update. There's a checkbox in the skin modifier's Advanced Parameters rollout "Always Deform" make sure it's checked. Do you have the latest service pack installed? Maybe you can make your first file available for us to download? -

Why do people want wireless streaming games? It means no owning anything anymore. Can't play if not connected to the internet. Once the service ends, the game is gone forever. Even Steam allows you to play offline. Want to play a game on the bus? Too bad. Oh you are somewhere rural? Can't play anything. -

I think you've gone a bit overboard with the flare of the hips. The concept is for an emaciated male - the hips should be much narrower than the shoulders. The shoulders and rib cage imply someone who was once fit, but has decayed in service to a mad deity. I'd post some reference pics, but I shudder to think what Google… -

I haven't seen this before, but I'm inclined to think it might have something to do with your display drivers. Do you have the latest service pack, have you made any adjustments to your system settings, like automatic updates or anything? Does it happen in other viewport modes like high quality or legacy? -

Thanks minotaur0! :-) I understand what you mean and i agree. However this is only one side of the room. Oposite of the service hallway will be the main entrance and i still have a whole bunch of props to make. I have a final image in my head but its kinda hard to show since i cant draw. >.< -

sry to bump this old thread, but there was no real answer that had helped me and i had this same problem. what solved it for me was installing service pack 1. it enabled the "show hardware map in viewport" button in the mat editor that was for some reason left behind, passed out drunk in someone's front yard, that party… -
