Thank you! I did a video tutorial for Autodesk regarding how i created this rig. This is not a step-by-step video tutorial so some basics of knowledge of 3ds MAX is needed. Here is the url link: https://area.autodesk.com/tutorials/luxojr-rigging-tutorial-/
Ingame test! Lots of stuff to fix. I screwed up the colors too much. I miss that orange i had earlier. There are also too little detail in the texture and a bit too much contrast. 1 step forwards, 2 steps back :)
Absolutely spectacular! Love the ice, the lighting, and the materials are superb! My only critique is that the stone steps feel a little rounded/soft and less structured compared to the hard, fractured, rhythmic steps from the concept. That's just a small part though. Looking forward to updates!
holy shit your concepts are amazing! And I love those step-by-step gifs of the loading screen, really looking good! (especially because I am a sucker for painted stuff). Also I think that CK dragon wins the badass-award for Dota mounts.
that chainmail look really cool !!! just finished a quick step by step video about texturing an assault rifle in substance painter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3FL8jvvFDw [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3FL8jvvFDw"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3FL8jvvFDw[/ame]
omg, what is that magical ability to do acurate and cool looking pictures on every step of the way and how do i aquire it?? p.s. more messy steps (cat sucking her finger as a bonus): meanwhile good luck to everyone with finishing and polishing your artwork!
in my first steps with python and Qt more or less i understand how it works, in next steps i have a mini troubles for example i don't know how does this fix: if evaluate in max, it works. Someone could light my way, please ^^
The most annoying thing to me in tutorials, is when an artist obviously wrote down everything step by step to a point where it's completely unnatural and how an artist works. Stuff like we will put in a value of .03125 for this, without any context or explanation, or natural playing with values.
The problem is this your videos are not scripted appropriately for presentation. You demo your stuff "as you go", step by step ... bit it is missing the one most important part, which consists of clearly and precisely showing the problem that your tool is solving, in the introduction. And *then* demo your tool.
anything could be made into a good movie if its done right, the chances of hl being done right are incredibly slim. but i'm sure it could be. and also people tho think a movie of a game would be a step by step walk thu of the game levels is pretty silly.
