thanks guys! Really appreciate the comments as i want to improve more and more. @Paul Pepera: hmm didn't notice the back looked a bit off... thanks for pointing it out! but yeh, I noticed plenty of little things that I could have use normal map for instead but that was after i textured it and looked at it more carefully…
my Cintiq 12WX was similar in general screen quality as the cheapest models from Benq, Asus and the like.. That is to say, nowhere close to the high end Dell and HP LCD´s and not remotely close to the IPS panels. I've only had decent hands on with the first generation 21UX and I personally thought the screen was below par…
Here is my final feedback in the form of a photoshop "paint-over". So the thinking behind my feedback was to give depth to your plants and moss but also unifying the colors a little bit. In the end I think a lot of it ends up being "whatever you think is better", I have a thing for trying to work in more earthy tones into…
My friends and family put me in a similar situation. However, a lot of my friends do gaming too. I've had some job suggestions sent my way that I scoffed at off the bat, ended up applying for, and actually overall ended up having a really good experience. I determine what skills I can take away from each opportunity and if…
The movie had its issues, there's no doubt about that. My personal quibble is the scale of the big critter, as they really could have pushed the consistency on that a bit more. I suppose part of that was the intentional concealment of the monster throughout much of the movie. The best way to get scale is through regular…
This is a good point. But... There was a lot of trust between valve and the gaming community. Like Fred, valve can't meet a deadline for shit, but there are obvious transparent reasons for that, valve always delivers in the end. Things have always been murky and hard to pinpoint with these contests in terms of prizes,…
Thanks :) I can't test on mobile but i think it should work, the polycount is not that high and multiple models have LOD. I do use Atlas yes, the entire scene use 3 atlases, there is a separate material for floor as it was suppose to be usable for terrain. Everything was done in Substance Designer so there is a few…
I would agree that watercooling at work is treated like a load of nonsense... But not "as in comparison to using Monster cables". More like, "having sex with yer Boss's wife on his desk while he watches". Sure.. If it's not my property it would be pretty silly to whip a dremmel out ( @ work ) to update a new loop because…
Per128: Damn strait EarthQuake: I just threw some quick directional lights in there to simulate the lighting you might get in game. These are screencaps, I'm no good a rendering. zenarion: Probably a good idea, but I wanted to use them in one of my own maps first, actually. However, if I don't end up using them I will…
the eyes offset is most easily fixed by unbinding, removing the bind pose, and rebinding them. Since they 100% weight to a single joint this is an easy fix. if during the setup of the fit skeleton it complains about joints not being zeroed out this can also be the issue, if you ignored that. One time I had a similar issue…
