3DBOOGIEBR PRESTON XETRA11 ERIC CHADWICK CHRISANTH Guys thank you all for your positive comments. I am happy you like it  I just wrote a tutorial for 3D world magazine and as soon this is published ( June ) I will post it here.
Hey Eric, my problem was when trying to export 16 bit. It's working fine when I don't try and do that. I installed the stability patch before posting this. But everything is working now when I don't try and export 16 bit.
you are right Eric. Here is one: when is news about 1.9 coming :P or another one would be why all of a sudden my object in 3do doesn't display the material anymore... but I could also just use the search function :D
After re-reading your post Eric, let me clarify. I was able to successfully register Quixel the first time I used it. But after that, It asks me to register and errors, or if it works, there is no registration dialogue box and I can use Quixel normally.
Eric already put the wiki link here, but I wanted to point out two threads that have tons of info similar to what you asked: What has the games industry been like for you? Getting into the Game Industry (Inspiration of a different kind)
Looking good! I second Eric in adding some dirt transitions on the vertical beams. It'll really help break up those 90 intersections. The wobble in the walls are great. Any plans for accent colors, maybe a cactus here or there could be really cool!
Thanks Eric for your feedback. The heuristic is a combination of several things, including rate of change as you have guessed as well as color importance plus other information related to the object topology. Currently the algorithm doesn't overlap UVs, but it is definitely an interesting idea to consider :)
So Eric Chadwick, what u say is that im able to mimic that style with substance painting, and those points you mentioned? Thanks for helping me, I will try to texture something as soon as possible so we could see how close it got.
Thanks, Eric. I have done a lot of tutorial hunting on YouTube for page modeling and journal modeling. I can't really find much on old journals via YouTube. I will definitely give your links and advice a go. Again, thank you. :)
I'm glad you guys thinks it looks good. After a couple of weeks on working on this I couldn't tell if it looked good or not. @Ged is this camera angle better? I also lightened up the really dark dirt spots slightly. @Eric and it's in jpg :D
