Using the same skybox will help. Looks like the one in 3DO isn't set to the default UE4 sky. Ensure that GGX rendering is enabled in 3DO (found in the Options tab) and make sure your non-sRGB textures (e.g. everything that isn't albedo/base color) has sRGB disabled in Unreal. -

ya by numbers you mean the dimensions of the block your are creating right? and does it still shoe the dimensions of box selections? from what i know it is olny possible to enable and disable that in the 3d viewport with the "x" key, so maybe just wipe out hammers config and restart to stock settings. -

Finally I understood how to fix the original problem (the incorrect display of the DirectX Material when deselecting the mesh without the Edged Faces displayed). Apparently the reason was that the option "Shaded", that lies within the "Object Properties" tab of each mesh, was disabled: once enabled it the DirectX material… -

Swap space / swap file / paging file has been around since MS-DOS and mostly obsolete nowadays, altho some games force you to enable it. The recommended size is equivalent to 1.5 times the amount of RAM on your system, you could also set it to system managed size. -

Yeah I had that enabled, it's been a little buggy lately. Thanks for the tip. Watched Jon Jones' video, definitely had to put some apps on my phone after that one. IFTT is a sweet app, I would recommend it to anyone having to do repetitive tasks or are obsessed about organization. -

Its still getting all the way to the Set node, and then doing nothing, which is making me think the blueprints are communicating properly, so i tried enabling input on the character blueprint, but that won't work at all, it will only register input on the… -

Create a height map of the face. Use a Displace modifier on the foam to make it match the face heightmap. You can use a Volume Select modifier below the Displace to select the inner-most vertices of the foam, and enable Soft Select to give the Displacement a falloff. I'll work up a sample a bit later. -

The wind blurring is because things with world position offset or displacement don't output motion vectors by default, which TAA needs to make correct result. There is a project setting to enable motion vector output from vertex deformation. You can also tweak the TAA settings to get better results. -

Done, get the file here, it should be updated on scriptspot as well but I'm no longer sure about that. By the way the smooth modifier enabled state doesn't update visually, that's just a redraw issue though - and you can always just click the eye/lightbulb icon next to the smooth modifier instead as well. -
Re: 3ds max turbo tools wont install
If you have UAC enabled it will block some .mzp files from installing. Normally you would get a "do you want to give this program permission" pop up but with max it just outright blocks the action. Most people get so annoyed with User Account Controls that they turn it off.
