Thanks for the feedback so far. @ WadeWT: I will be adding more props to the rooms at a later date, as well as rugs on the floors (once I get my head around the texture for them). You might not be able to crank one modifier up to 30,000 but max handles that number fairly well if you spread it across several modifiers. You can then bake that into a helmet if you wish. Personally for the image you posted, I would sculpt it in ZBrush or MudBox. I don't know a single artist that would try and do that… -

pxgeek, I have no idea why, but as the MOST problematic of the matcaps, I took all of your suggestions and it was the very first time that ZBrush didn't crash when I hit the 'F' key (as in 'F' for.... :) .... Frame). One thing I didn't do was change the texture in shader 2 as it came with the original matcap that I used to… -

Compare something like Dwarf Fortress to something like Assassin's Creed Unity and you can see why people say this. If half the money AAA games spent on graphics and advertising got spent on game design and simulation stuff instead, who knows what sort of cool stuff might happen? -

Nice! Looks great, but make sure you fix that crotch because it's making your model look dwarfed (I am assuming that's not what you're going for). Usually the pubic bone is roughly the half way point of a character (in terms of height). Overall, wonderful job, the character is looking great so far! -

Now i'm working on a dwarf miner sort of character. I did some silhouettes, And picked one I liked, and added more to it! Gonna add a little more detail to it and get it clean, do a model sheet, and then start on the 3D! Looking to go higher-poly than the inkling with this but not like, super-high. -

I called my teacher a dwarf once, but I still got my degree. I hate people talking down to me , but then I never really did put up with much from people anyhow. A good teacher doesn't need to antagonise people, he will get the respect if he deserves it -

Dwarves tend to have a pronounced forehead. I think you need to rework that a lot still. Also, I think this is a good base sculpt, but it lacks the details that make a face instantly recognizable. It is called Final Fantasy... I play this game for the story, like I play every game. I do not have to want to be the main character to enjoy the game. I did not want to be the lowly female dwarf I played 66 hours of Dragon Age with. I really enjoyed FFXII! Much more then X-2... Can not wait for this!
