Thanks for the feedback Eric! Always appreciated :) I think I fixed the issue that you brought up? What do you think now? Also, I started sculpting a picture frame, thoughts? Not sure what picture to put in it yet...
Thanks for the input, Eric. Unfortunately, Pen's stuff was already on my list of things I found during my Google searches. I didn't find anything there to really answer my questions... but Paul has been a good resource for me :)
Thanks Eric. But I sort of solved it. It seems to be a known issue with the intel plugin. The offered workaround to get the alpha channel back apparently doesn't lose anything along the way. Layers -> Layer Mask -> From Transperacy to restore the alpha channel.
Hi Eric, Thanks for your answer. I am looking forward to see the painting working directly in dDo. Especially when i only want to mask out a small bit of a material i dont want to create a whole material for it.
@Eric: you can also try to save the hlsl to disk and just see if the code gives you some suggestion of what might be wrong. E.g. if you are in the wrong space, or if you are using a node that is not working properly inside the vertex shader.
Good Idea Eric on restarting the thread fresh. Also, I'll get some screens together and post them up. I realise that it would've been easier this whole time to do that in the first place. I haven't been thinking straight.
No shaderfx either, Brad. Eric, not quite sure what you mean by render to dds? I can NOT render to texture as .dds, or just a generic render output to .dds. I'm pretty close to just clean installing max to see if that fixes it.
Haha hey Eric :) I didn't consider looking for owners manuals on the site for the product. I'll keep that in mind for the next fix!. I think I also need to continue to work on measuring proportions by eye especially for products that don't have side shots
This is in maya , this is what I was talking about [image below] Will be good to post wireframe image of your model so it clear if its as Eric suggest just a rendering issue or geo collapse on it self Is latest image of the object in binding pose or after some posing ?
As a finishing touch, here are some videos. I really liked working on this project! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjOH4NbTQ3Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qy9BkOOYBw And Thanks @Eric Chadwick for the frontpage! I really appreciate it! Onto the next one! Cheer guys!
