Here is a few updates on the image. I'm trying a new process so I don't have very defined steps for this piece. Once this one is finished Id like to take what ive learned here and break it up into better process steps.
Yeah i know and they did a cool job. i was just stunned seeing that the golden steps all around my place are pokestops (golden steps are stones put into the cobblestone sidewalks, that contain the informations of jewish citizens that lived there and were killed in the holocaust)
some more details, sorry if I keep updating even for small updates :poly136: is my way to keep track of what I do,also maybe someone can find usefull to see everything step by step who knows :poly124:
Well, I don't use maya and can't give you step-by-step instructions, but I think this article pretty much covers it in detail. http://www.game-artist.net/forums/spotlight-articles/1317-tutorial-ambient-occlusion-maya-alchemist101.html
well if you were being conservative with textures you wouldn't build the whole set of steps. You'd only build a few risers and a straight section of handrail and some other pieces. Then you'd construct your steps using these bits by repeating the geometry.
Thanks for the help @PJPayne Just a quick update, made a tileable floor and did some steps. The steps I just threw quickly in to SP to make sure it all bakes right and put a quick Smart Material on it. The artstation comp is about to start though :(
And here is the Update on the Main Generator, I've also redesigned the steps into more of a ramp to lessen the overwhelming details that the steps where giving. Just a few more tweeks, and gaps to fill and they will be done. So,I hope you guys enjoy, and again, bring on the critiques!!!
Hello Guillaume201, is there a step by step post or video on how to install this importer. I don't Know what I did wrong. I keep getting "Unable to find the Cryengine path from the registry (try to use the Setting Managers)" Thanks for your time
Thanks for comments. I will step back from this project for a while to gain some objective point of view, when I'll back and revise it in a near future (hopefully). This gun in fact was step back from bigger project in the middle of which I'm right now.
Thanks. It is something I have known is possible but haven't got into myself yet. Figured would be nice to get a jump start by having someone show me step by step. I'll take a look around in the near future and will share if I find anything.
