Love it. I am really simpatico with your tastes. What does the scope between the driver and passenger seats on the dashboard do? :D This would fit right into The 5th Element, they sort went for a simpler retro futuristic style. Blade Runner too and well, many others im sure. Still can't get over this one:
@Arturow We're going facebook live on Thursday the 4th at 11am PST for a video review of your animation. Do you want us to review your reel as well? We should have time for more reviews so if you anyone wants a reel review just drop it in here and we'll see if we can fit it in!
You normally want to keep all your pieces in one UV map, especially for low poly. Also, make sure to always look at your pieces to find parts that are repeated. Like his hat. If you cut the brim into 4th's, all the pieces are the same, so no need to include them all separately, they can be overlapped.
Hey guys! I've reopened the submissions page for entries and we will close it again tonight, AUGUST 5TH, 2014 @ 23:59 EST (GMT - 4) My apologies in closing the submissions thread too early and I hope this small bit of extra time is useful to anyone who may have been interrupted by my mistake
Just remember that the 16th and 17th is the weekend of carmageddon so I truly don't know how bad the traffic will be that weekend. 405 from the 10 to the 101 is closing down (which is quite a distance and quite the congestion already) so you might want to do it somewhere else or possibly even reschedule...just a heads up…
Oh wow! This has really come a long way since the first post, the new lighting really brings the scene to life and make's it a lot more interesting! It pushes the tiny details like leleuxart said! Are those monitors on the 5th screenshot tv channels? Have they been created by you or just images from the web?
[ QUOTE ] you havent been paying attention, brome. i gave you critiques as well when you were working on your photoshop technical skills. [/ QUOTE ] Ha! Yes you did. As for roberts border thickness pisse: It's the lighting he has on it. They'r ethe same width, but one side is lit the other is not.
yeah as i said i still didnt fix up those symetry edges and all. and well i dont really want to use it as a weapon for cs / hl or anythin i just wanted to practice max a bit wth the good old "low poly but high looks" which i hope to somehow archieve
Yes but for example that texturing of orgrimmar - go to the 4th work from the top and you can see there, he made those horns in Zbrush and then (i think so) he baked all maps and he probably did work in 3Dcoat too. And i want to know what is his photoshop setup of maps opacity and etc... just this
Try using some of the metal textures from this site as overlays, just for the colors. http://www.cgtextures.com/ i love to use metal/bare and the 6th one. Then move the hue around to change it to your needs. It well give you some nice random color variation. Its all about adding that extra level of detail.
