Everything else is scaled appropriately but yeah that ceiling is going out first thing in the morning. It was from when I was experimenting with making it a fantasy tavern, but I decided to go for something more modern.

Yes. Nothing is better than when the designer/author of any science fiction actually takes the time to explain their systems, themes and techs. In my opinion its what separates fantasy and sci fi.
Travelling Merchant I was going with a playful fantasy theme. He is a general merchant that travels across the land selling a variety of items and knick knacks. I wanted to challenge myself by adding a detailed background.
