Wrapped up Inktober 2017 with a plague doctor's mask, based on the "mask" prompt. Probably could've gotten more detail into the mask itself, particularly leather stitching, but I gave myself a strict hour limit today.
In addition to the tips and advice everyone else has given, it might be helpful for you to practice figure drawing and do anatomy studies. It will help you wrap your mind around modeling and sculpting the human body in 3D.
right now you have the cloth that's wrapped around her waist hanging more in the back, but in these images it looks like it hangs over the side of her leg more. otherwise your sculpt is looking really spot on!
The borders on the lightmap are clamped, no wrapping around and bleeding like on other textures. You say the shadows become more visible with higher lightmap resolutions? Could you post a picture of what it looks like with a 1024 map?
Update: Baked normals + new color schemes. I am thinking about removing this cloth wrap so i've done additional coloring without it. Thanks to you all for this thoughts aboout color and cloth thing :)
So finally I can wrap this one. Here is some screen of the scene. This one took too much time of my life :) Now I need to think what I´m going to do next!
the wraps or armour on his forearms looks a bit strange, not sure what exactly that is. His skin is super saturated, maybe thats the style your going for but I think the lightest parts of the skin could be less saturated.
He is in game and working boys. I'd like it if everyone had their skins wrapped up and sent to my email addy poop at poopinmymouth dot com by monday evening. I am going to make the skin pak then.
Bla, i went as a tf2 spy to my studios wrap party ;D a costume in 45 mins i outdid myself heh (yes its a poor imitation), pictures to follow. Hawken, thats just genius!
True that. The wraps did get flat, and I who spent hours modeling them, what a blunder... and the color of them is way too strong for the rest of the quite saturated color sheme of the rest of the character. Thanks again:D
