looking good! I take it this a garden bridge for crossing a small stream and so on? There are multiple construction techniques for these but the most common being more arched. For a nice touch, to really pull off a Japanesey style, did you consider posts at the ends? They are often red, round and topped with a bell shape.… -

Why not spend like $10 on some bellows and a mount and get a Midnight Chinese Special? Everything is properly mounted and you can extend/pan/pull and track with .01mm accuracy. Go to the hardware store and swap the bellows adjustment wheel with a larger one (for more precise movement) for $5 more.
