Finally wrapped up this project! It took forever but I am very happy to call it done. I will link some of the images but I have more and marmoset viewers on my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/8E506
Here's the wires. The mesh is far from optimized, but I was under the impression 20k tris is mid res. Still trying to wrap my head around textures beyond Diffuse and Normal maps, all in good time. :)
Hi there ! My short movie Neko-San is out, you can check it out on its Artstation page, along with some bonus content Don't hesitate to comment, share, or watch wrapped under your duvet. ^^
Dataday - I think I have that exact same green blanket wrapped around my couch (leather seating is torn, but the couch is just so damn comfy). Also, dogs the size of cats are ideal. DOGS!
I have always used the offset filter as well, though I rarely touch Photoshop these days due to Krita. Krita's wrap around mode is perfect for this kind of work, though more on the hand painted side.
The graffiti will be Decals in the end, just fancied having a play with them XD Also thought I would show the barbed wire, its basically a 1024 x 256 tiling texture wrapping around the helix plane
Finally calling it a wrap on this project. Stress was gained, knowledge was acquired, and fun was had. Though there is a lot I would like to change, I am happy with the final result. Time to put this one to bed. Merry Christmas!
You could, alternatively, use splines to make your arches, quickslice to get the flat sides, repeat the object and attach them together. After that, use the bend modifier to make it wrap in a circle or semi-circle. viola!
tnx polyhertz , seems to me that the problem is somewhere else in the code but i think i`ll be able to find it ^^ i`m working on a wrapmode (lowpoly wrapping around highpoly) for a tool that i am making btw )
Just wrapped up a highpoly for a Rhino revolver this evening. Slapped some basic materials on it and got a quick render so I could post something before I turn in. As always crits and critiques are always welcome.
