Hey I found some time to make a base for a left hand (the robotic one) and the pauldron. Still it's only the base mesh without detail. Next stop is probably a base for legs.
Thanks for the advice and the kind words, it really means alot! I'll definitely look into the pop on the robot that you're talking about and into creating gifs. I'll post the framerate from now on too.
^ I'm wondering the same thing... Would it be acceptable for instance, to have a few robots lying around, to emphasize the nature of the environment? Nothing living, of course. More 'body props' than characters..
I'm so excited that this exists! It'll be my first character so i'm going for the "easiest" of the three. Everyone's work is sooooo good here, too! Onwards! to steampunk robot lovelies!
Thanks Azkur, I was just in your thread thinking I wish I had your hardsurface/organic skills, looking at that robot it's similar to what I want to do with the girl.
I just have 1 concern, the pc version better not have the console UI for the weapon switching. I liked how to robot crawled over stuff and jumped that one guy.
Quick sketch of the sexiest robot in q3! Snowfly: It isnt too late to pick up q3 and start playing. Still plenty of servers running, so it wont be a problem finding games!
Just a few of Leonardo da Vinci's innovative war machine designs in hard copy: Tank Flying Machines Machine Gun Robotic Knight Diving Suit Revolving Bridge Parachute
toomas: does it? the diving suits i know are way less reflective, if at all. the robot and his gun seemed to be equally shiny btw. military equipment is rather dull looking in reality.
Huh, our mini-hotel-foyer Thunderdome at the CA workshop was based around Zombie Jesus (right after Robotic Buddha) ... Tully's Glambot is currently residing on my desktop. Cool!
