The visual quality of his little "semi VR" 360 bubble is already achievable in fully VR-walkable environments anyways. Robot Recall, heck, even the default HTC space deck environment look pretty much just like this lobby scene. It's here.
I agree with much of what heyeye suggested. Just to add something small: I'd really love to see a little more process on your Star Citizen Lobby. Texture sheets, or a shot with all of your modular pieces separated from each other.
http://pixelenemy.com/activision-ceo-bobby-kotick-made-64-9-million-in-2012-among-highest-paid-ceos-in-u-s/ at least for Activision Blizzard, you know where most of the money is going to. i wonder how the people working there feel about it.
It'd be nice if this was a standalone web script jobby that lets you upload a file yourself that then gets referenced. I'd feel better about that then uploading model files to some nebulous cloud storage. I guess this could still be a good alternative. http://jquery.vostrel.cz/reel
I like this a lot, well done. I like the nice clean, greyish interior with the fishtank looking windows and foliage on the floor. Kind of reminds me of PSO lobbies, in a good way :D I also like the clean, simple, pale shadows, they suit the scene.
Looks awesome. I'm sitting in an old hotel lobby right now and noticing on even the old wood the specular has some slight "waviness" to it reflecting the environment. Perhaps what I'm talking about has less to do with specular but more like a subtle cubemap at a low percent.
Looking really great, but like Shep, the wrists bother me. And the boots feel kinda strange to me. He'd have to do that 'walking in ski boots' hobble instead of a run. Feels like there should be a seam from the top of the foot (the soccer-ball-kicking part) to the ankle/heel.
Don't you have some kind of radio station over there that caters to the sort of youth demographic that find commercial pop abhorent? The ABC runs it over here. Perhaps you should be lobbying the BBC to set you up an equivelant of Triple J instead of this empty protest.
Really like her but that foot is bothering me. its more that the leg seems too short than anything, like she'd be hobbling along with it as it is. might be a perspective illusion though. still, design wise i'd give it a bigger foot/base. i like the idea of it though
I have been studying human anatomy for the last few months during an internship. I wanted to mix my new knowledge with my love of surrealism. Original Art is by Robbie Trevino. Odds & Ends. Check the Sketchfab Link Below. htt.ps://sketchfab.com/models/1a18dab457d94f23a222a6b68ae72ac8
