What references are you using? And what style are you aiming for? Right now, my critique is; - Where are the roots? - Your lighting is coming from above, so I can't see the bark/trunk of the tree. It just looks like a cylinder and the textures look black and grey. - Trees grow upwards, they don't follow the angle of the…
I've upgraded materials, trees, grass, sculpts, added orbs, falling leaves, wind, floating rocks Which composition fits better in your opinion? Or how could I further improve this composition?
Update: Theres a tree now and I made two more unique pillars for my gazebo to make it feel less like copypasta. The pillar normals need a bit of touch up but Ill take care of that tomorrow. Wish I had more time to spend on my sculpts. :( oh well next time. The normals look good though on the tree low poly. @snow: In…
low poly mockup done, now on to sculpting. The colors are just to make the different pieces clear, the final will be all stone, except the plants at the base, the wood tree/staff thing, and the banner on the belt.
Check out the ZRemesher in ZBrush for retopology on the tree. Then your process can be like 1. Sculpt 2. Export High 3. ZRemesh 4. Export Low & UV 5. Bake your maps
Alright, here is my final-ish version of the new palm tree. Gonna sculpt in some scratches into the trunk and fix a section of the texture that is looking a little funky. I am pretty happy with the result. It took the whole day but totally worth it :). Sculpted base forms in Zbrush and added in the smaller details with NDO.
Paul Pepera, those are insanely detailed models! So awesome! Now, this is my new ZBrush sculpt I did recently to improve my ZBrush skills and add to my portfolio. Here's the turntable. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlAPgyLZGtE"]An old oak tree ZBrush sculpt - YouTube[/ame]
Hi, my project is inspired a beautiful digital painting where a young elven girl sitting on a tree and so I got the idea to create something similar in Godot engine. Environment will be something of a magical forest with huge trees and a young elven girl Senaya but in a modern/sci-fi? suit. ....so we'll see how it goes :)…
Still making progress on this environment and will be trying to put more time into it to wrap it up soon! Currently wrapping up the tree stumps highpoly sculpt. I'll work on the lowpoly and substance painter textures shortly after!
thanks, glad you liked the lighting changes. the tree trunks was sculpted in zbrush from zspheres and textured in substance painter i was trying to get something similar to these but maybe it turned out a bit too irregular
