In my previous post I just wanted to point out that the vertex weight values in the panel are just for the active element and not all selected element. Box selection was not the point, just an example.
@Thomasp : https://cgcookiemarkets.com/all-products/bookmark-view/ ;) Otherwise Campbell has included his add-on about freehand curves into Blender core : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHHlUlwDnlU
I pay for a CGCookie account; which gives me access to all the help I need for Blender, as well as other areas....such as Unity training, etc. Good, low-cost, investment.
There should be no IP issues when using Blender, unless the source code is modified and publicly distributed (in which case it must be redistributed with all builds of the program or be publicly available). Internal builds of Blender do not need the sources redistributed. More information about licensing with Blender can…
I think that all of 3ds max smoothing group actions can be pretty easily done in Blender too. First of all there's select similar coplanar under your chosen angle, then you can select boundary edges and mark them as sharp. Let's say that you want to select a "smoothing group" you can do that pretty easily as well by…
Shortcuts don't work for me because I use the 'Industry Standard' keymap (Maya style navigation ect). It changes the shortcuts. Another quick question: I have textured a couple of assets with Substance Painter, and assembled a fairly large scene in Blender using those assets (and a lot of Collection instances). I have…
@"another caveman" : blender files will store up what is shown in various UI panels, as well as things like the currently active viewport mode, embedded textures, and so on. Everything else (keymap, user preferences, addons...) is all stored in : C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.8 This…
Right. Thing is, I don't want to turn them off, either by setting them to smooth or toggling off Autosmooth in my base object. If possible, I would like to apply a modifier on top that corrects this issue, so that I can preserve my sharp edges in my base model. Is there any modifier that could smooth all vertex…
Is there a chance they'll take the controls off the sliders and put them on a mouse drag/MMB scroll for recursion? Not at all familiar with programming so I wouldn't know how easy that would be to do.
