Sometimes booleans act weird if the two meshes have some geo that perfectly lines up. Try moving the boolean object ever so slightly to see what happens.
I have posted about this before, but haven't found any solution for this yet as it happens with multiple file formats exported from Blender 2.83. I am modeling my objects in Blender and then have to texture them in Substance Painter. In order to texture the objects in Painter efficiently, the objects/ meshes within a file…
No problem! Other animation tips I have are; -motion paths are great, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1693140/game/motionpath.gif -alt+scroll wheel for changing frames -set up a custom hotkey for shift+alt+scroll wheel to skip to next keyframe -set up a custom hotkey to delete keyframe of selected object only in the 3d…
Is this documentation inaccurate? I can tell you from experience (and many others can as well) that Ctrl+Period focuses the camera to the pivot point of the object. Not move the pivot point to a new location.
Thanks :D maybe I wasn't in edit mode when I did it or I was doing something to the object that took it out occasionally. Whats going wrong without having a cage?
Set object shading to smooth, set autosmooth to the highest value, and mark edges as sharp in the edge menu. That's it :) (not saying that it is easy to find or intuitive - but once you know about it, it's pretty straightforward.)
Thanks! Shortcut didn't work (probably because I use 'Industry Compatible' keymap), but I found the option in the menu (Object -> Parent -> Clear and keep Transformation). Thanks for your help!
Freehand curve sketching gets even better. 2:18 for drawing over other objects, 5:30 for snakehook-like behaviour. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAsUGy7XGOA
Is this what you're looking for? This mode will draw the wireframe over whatever view the model is currently in, including when not in edit mode. If you select the object and then go to Object > Display you just need to make sure the Wire checkbox is selected. The Draw All Edges box makes sure it shows every edge, but can…
@Belzzebozz the only visual feedback I know of is when you switch to edit mode all instances are displayed in edit, though not editable. You can as well create an instance by changing another objects mesh data in the data tab, but I would rather use this as a fix in case you lost the lnik for whatever reason, you can check…
