well all the faces of the gun which will have rivets will work planar mapped, so i don't see a problem with texturestretching , but if it doesn't work i still can go with instanced rivets, thanks

Thats a really hard face to model marine. Good luck on getting the proportions down. Whats most off right imo is that the jaw isnt strong enough. Right now its coming in toward the face from the ear, but it should jut out more like in the picture. The brow also might need to be a tad bit higher. The mouth should be closer…

I would suggest vitor, not going so extreme on the muscles of the face. try a litle more subtle. its kind of getting there, but needs a that little extra degree of realism check these out for reference http://www.antropus.com/
Jgarland: I dig the details, but the medium level forms still seem a bit iffy. His cheeks and the creasing on his face and all seem like they could use a little more low frequency definition.

Major improvement dude! It feels less flat, but I think you could have pushed some more contrast in the face to make the features stand out a bit more. Looking heaps better though. -caseyjones
