So here are the final shots of the aircraft, I may revisit it during the summer, but for now thats all. There are still some topology issues but I will fix them later. And I may put the model in Fusion 360 for some awesome surface detail. But all that in a later date.
I would add a lot more ports, cargo bays, etc to the hull. Maybe even a retractable vehicle deck/elevator like you would see on an aircraft carrier. The sleek solid look of the hull makes it look more like a luxury yacht than a battleship.
That only works with multiplayer games, people got Diablo and Starcraft for battlenet, and you can't easily hack your way into it without buying the game. And Blizzard made it hassle free for the legit user, just download the updates, no DRM shit. But what about single player games?
Yay for nine! lesse, 9 years ago.. 1998? Playing starcraft, made a 3d model of samus out of primitives.. got introduced to lightwave and made this just before it turned to 1999. lol (nice to see I haven't gotten better in 9 years eh?) :P
Not your game, but here's an awesome shooter game you can play for free: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/527383 This game freaked me out, oddly similar to the game mod i was planning to make for starcraft II.
Is that inverse fresnel idea how you would go about doing a "cloaking" or semi-invisibility effect? I'm thinking in terms of the Dark Templar from Starcraft. Would I use the same method to go about creating that?
That's pretty cool. I used to play the first one really early on in its development stages. Reminded me of StarCraft but as a first person shooter. It's changed quite a lot since then and the new one will definately be a great game. -caseyjones
I like the stories in some single player games. I also like it when there is a lot of replayability in a game, like starcraft 2 for instance. Players are able to chip in, which makes the game last so much longer! What I don't like on the other hand are clich
I grew up playing Microsoft Flight Simulator (5.1 to 98, then got back into it with FSX), built scale models of aircraft, read all about aeronautics, etc. I'm not as frightened of flying itself as I am of entrusting someone else to fly me around. It's an irrational fear.
no I'm quite sure this is all military stuff and a big promotion gag to promote Eyjafjallajökull's as air defense system "buy one of icelands brand new Eyjafjallajökulls and no enemy aircraft will enter your airspace ever again.. !! Buy two and your neighboring countries airspace is empty too"
