People don't like to post in sketchbook because it gets 1/25th the views, and less replies as well. It's just not a high traffic form. It's cool some people use it, but because of the low view counts a lot of sketchbooks get overlooked. Maybe we should include one sketchbook thread a week in the weekly recaps? -

when viewing created items via the workshop before submitting is there anyway to view more than one item at a time,say for instance i have helm and sword i want to see those together in game on the character,because when i click additional items on the workshop its asking for mdl files -

I like these alot, I dont really do hand painted - but the question that I think is super important here would be: What distance are they being viewed at on screen? Because that will dictate the level of painterly detail you need to add. Maybe provide static images with the viewing distance you plan in your game? -

Looks good dude, my only crit I guess would be that I would have made the eye sockets just a bit wider. From the side view they look well sized and work really well, but from the front view, they look squished and almost sad? Other than that, great job! -caseyjones -

Well actually, you can... steam > view > servers Favourite the polycount server for quicker view-ability. And sure, 8am might be more "European-friendly" but I'd still say the majority would prefer a evening slot - and theres no harm setting up 2 timeslots anyway, you don't "have" to attend both :/ -

Hehe, it's a pretty cool model, nicely stylised. The dark background is making it hard to see detail around his head there, though. Also, you'll get a lot more views if your images weren't BMP, I think - JPEG's are much smaller files than .BMP, so they're perfect for online viewing. -

Why do you have a wireframe view, then just a lowered opacity wireframe view? I can't see your texture work on the model. If you insist on doing wireframe overlays, leave it on just the texture flat, and let us see the model with the texture on top unadulterated. No one is going to steal your textures. -

Mmh. I'm not sure what you are referring to. We can still paint in bitmaps in the 2D view in Designer 2019. It's never been a very impressive feature, but it's still there. Create a bitmap node -> From New Resource ... and then select the paint brush icon on the left side of the 2D view. -

All three views don't display the color + alphas in real time. I have a Geforce GTX 580 so I would assume it should show up fine. I've attached an image of all three render views along with the network and a quick Maya software render. -

In Mari you can paint or project paint textures in udim view as well as in full object perspective, ortho, or split (half uv/udim view half perspective). Udims/patches are also used as quick auto selection sets to hide/unhide or mask. https://vimeo.com/148083949
