To increase normal maps' strength via a parameter, create a 3-vector parameter and then plug it into multiply node. Also plug the normal map into the multiply node. Then in the parameter (or edit the instance of the material) type numbers 2, 2, 0.5 (for example) into the RGB values. That should intensify it. LERP I think…
Well, you can rig it... the question is are you happy with this design and execution? If you're new to rigging and have maya 2015 you can very easily/quickily test how your model will work when rigged if you use geodesic voxel binding and dual quaternion falloff. It works wonders for a quick test to see if you need to edit…
Alright, probably 80% done on the texture, the gun is supposed to be about a ~5yr old combat weapon, I'll tweak the scratches a bit more but I just wanted to post progression so here we go. 3015 tris, 2048x2048 normal / spec / diffuse i need to go back and tweak the tape as well to help it blend better Crits plx :d
Currently I'm driving a pair of Sennheiser HD595s :- with an Asus Xonar STX Headphone Card - Sublime sound... still want some some speakers for that gaming *punch* though :) edit: link to card if anyone is interested - I'd reccomend it if you have a nice set of phones.…
Nice work, as always. I think the 1st man's beret could be rotated to other side a bit more, but that is just my personal opinion. heh, this is what i mean; http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/7-21-13/Image3897.gif and…

Awesome, except when I try to edit a button with the Auto-stroke, or Auto-tip preset it tells me Error: Illegal argument - Line 1273 It says the same thing if I switch to the text preset, but the text still displays after i hit ok. For either of the two thumbnails its just a broken image icon. (edit: This is on cc…
Here is a Disney research paper on the subject from 2015, and the techniques they used to make this work. They used a fully unwrapped mesh and a lookup map that matches pixels based on UV regions and fills in the areas of the mesh that don't exist in the 2D colouring book image. Might be worth a read. Good luck.…
But i think thats a great problem. Without the "real" feeling you dont worry for the dwarfes, or Frodo. You are simple a spectator and you must endure 3h boring Story. And yes smaug is a good CGI dragon. Boring 0815 design but okay. But really for a damn CGI Effect i dont go in the cinema, better looking at Afishers Dark…
