I´d say even if speedtree used and bloom set to 6059593%, the art sucks anyway. I recently watched a vid again... It looks horrible. They even do noobish mistakes like completly monochrome stones. You can fix in less then 2 secs... The characters are looking horrible. (yeah ben, they need big forearms). No stlye. bah! This… -

characters/machines r pretty cool. Nice old-school look and good use of pixels too ;) Environments seem as a rushed afterthought tho to me. They r quite chaotical in color and therefore have rather random stlye, just bunch of mixed colored pixels. Some parts r too bright some r too dark or contrasty which makes visual… -

I reflect bobo's thoughts exactly. Bring that crosshatch stlyle over to your textures and that will separate you from being too similar to WoW or torchlight, which is is a neat style but quickly becoming tired. Be unique! You have the freedom to do so. -

In the modifiers list you can select STLcheck and it will spot you if your mesh has any technical problems like open faces, you can also select the vertex you want to fix and use weld, i sometimes select a big proportion of the mesh and put a value of 0.001. -
