Sounds cool but: "It pleased us", said Miroslaw Dymek, CEO of Reality Pump Studios, "that we succeeded to develop the GRACE 2 engine in a way, that enables us to present models and landscapes that make photos look like charcoal drawings compared to the game." i hope that is a joke! :D
Hi Jeremie, thanks for your response. I think I got much similar results in term of roughness by setting the height to 1 in both apps. Unfortunately, I still don't get the parallax effect in sp, even though I enabled the Parallax Occlusion Mapping option.
Games runs pretty well here apart from a few times it's gone laggy all of a sudden, but restarting fixed that. Also had the problem with Avira picking it up as a trojan, best thing is just to disable real-time protection for the time that you play and re-enable after.
Found the issue: somehow this mesh has Smooth Mesh options set to use "OpenSubdiv Catmull-Clark Adaptive" instead of the default "OpenSubdiv Catmull-Clark". I am not sure this is by design or simply a bug with Maya 2018 on macOS platform (as the Adaptive algorithm is only recently enabled for macOS)
it saves as 32 bit by default, and i am just using maya for now. I've been testing things out to find a good flow for texturing so I wont have to bother with it when I am working on the actual model. High Quality Rendering is enabled as well.
This Script realy solved my Problem had a long struggle with a lost 3dsmax Trackbar Button ( Curve Editor Button ) beside my Animation Timeline with all Keyframes Indicators gone too. After enabling and disabling the Script it brings me back the Button. Yeho THX.
man, I wish I could see these pics. I'm in China and have to use an SSH tunnel, but polycount doesn't seem to allow people to use irregular IP addresses. I can access this page, but the images are blocked because I don't have my proxy enabled.
Technically you can enable/disable a node via the "Node Behaviour" Tab in the Attribute Editor, by setting it to "HasNoEffect". But i think some Nodes work better with that than others, and i still haven't read up on what exactly all the other Options in that Dropdown actually do :) .
You guys followed a tutorial which features this in the summary: "Firefox dulls the appearance of webpages to give you faster performance" ? What this setting does is enable firefox to display different colour-profiles, when a file contains these. http://www.dria.org/wordpress/archives/2008/04/29/633/
Using max? if so then the only one that will do it is the basic raytraced shadows(the advanced one doesnt like to work) and it will make your shadows black. if you dnt want them black, just add another light. Then make then equal 1 as with the shadow enabled one getting the larger %.
