Maya > Help > Learning Movies... That's the basics in video format Here's a site with a ton of tutors I've never used. :P http://www.maya3d.dk/Tutorials/Index.asp MJ Poly Tools should be downloadable from that site somewhere, it's very handy.
I'm creating an animation in blender and in my scene I want braziers that light up in sequence, I followed this tutorial on YouTube to create the fire but I have a problem. Since the flame must start after 200 frames I changed this parameter, the problem is that all the time the flame is not lit in its place there is a…
Hi I am fairly decent at Maya modeling (not great). I am trying to learn Max now. I watched a Gnomon Tutorial which the tutor demostrated Polyboost. do you recommend me to get Polyboost at this stage?
reminds me of Digital-Tutors Jet Bike, one of the earlier tutorials i remember seeing when i first got into 3D (didn't follow it but definitely inspired me to want to become a modeller) in other words, good job ! :P
Umm... since new to texturing, for all texturing I saw few tutorials. for the walls, and the cement, I saw http://www.3dmotive.com/training/zbrush/tileable-zbrush-video/?follow=true and went step by step as the tutor explained :D .

Hello, I'm following a tutorial on Digital Tutors "Creating a fantasy dragon in Zbrush" and I've just finished creating the dragons body in zspheres but when I click adaptive skin the body is in mashed up pieces and doesn't 'flow' Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks
Yes, I think so too. :) It's just so hard to break out of the habit of using sketched lines. I have a lot of brushwork to practice! ___________________ Working on my ivy vines today for my scene. I'm carrying on with November's noob challenge, but it's going kind of slow as I'm doing several digital tutors courses at the…
I switched from Maya to Max for work too! Again, it took me only a few nights of the same 3D buzz, and digital tutors tutorials. Its pretty straight forward and in hindsight learning both just encourages more opportunity!
Have you fully completed a beginners guide to Maya tutorial? There are plenty to choose from, and they go over a ton of stuff. I've also taken this course on Pluralsight/Digital Tutors called Professional Tips For Modelling Complex Shapes. It was really great.
