the lines are blurred, the definitions are always changing. 10-12 years ago what most people are calling mods nowadays would be called Total Conversions or TC's. A Mod was a slight modification of an existing game, like adding CTF to Quake.
Looking great! Are you planning on adding mud flinging off the tires? There are lots of dirt and mud on the track and it would make sense for it to get pulled up by the tires. Im looking forward to trying the game once you release it
Oooh, Pretty. Have the sand blend with the dried mud in a less uniform manner: at the moment it looks like two circular dollops of sand placed on the mud. Also paint some AO in. Really like the circular cactus with the flower on top.
What age are you OP? Mid thirties? If you're talking about kids, divorce and marriage already being in this extremely messy equation I would hope so. But your post says you are not yet 30? Listen up guys. This is the aftermath of 'oh, trueee love' and people in their mid-twenties sprinting down the aisle and then popping a…
Bone chilling explosion(s) and visual effects! I've been reading about the 'Electric Universe' theory which puts a different light on the formation of solar systems, and interaction between sun, planets and comets/ asteroids than the mainstream allows. Emphasizing the electromagnetic factors which are downplayed in the…
How deeply is this going to impact your life? I wouldn't do it but thats because I can't work for free. If money wasn't an issue and the game was interesting or would provide me with good portfolio pieces or experience then yeah I would do it, but only if the team understood the project does not overide any paying jobs…
Looks fantastic! I still can help but think maybe the tracks themselves need some mud applied, the track skirts have mud splashes so looks a little inconsistent. I think that adding them in while ground it into reality. Great Job!
@ odium, there are body mods for oblivion, so there should be some for NV. in fallout 3 i used a mod for the pip boy so thats definitely doable @Millenia thanks for the rundown, I'll have to try it. the game doesnt have enough long range guns.
Would you ever use like, a mid grey for a material in the metal channel? I've seen that many substances have some grey in the metal channel when dust and dirt is over metal, but would you ever use a mid grey for a base material?
I bought it, "made" a friend of mine, modded a polycount t-shirt into the game, got him to be a master painter and have not played it since :D Guess I will go back to it when the first expansion pack comes or if there is any cool mods.
