I am actually glad that by the time I joined DE you guys were wrapped up with D2. This way none of the magic will be spoiled when I will first play the game.. I even avoided booting up the build in the office just not to spoil anything. You guys did a fantastic job! -

Today we worked on lighting with Andrew @Thoughcrayish. What do you think about this setup? Also statues, fountain and some other props is just placeholders, I replace them later. I kinda like the blue magic stones idea, it gives some tips about the purpose and story of this environment. -
Re: Rendering your game assets, why not UDK/CryEngine?
UE4: - Hard to get transparent background with UE4 shots. (I use one of debug view modes as a mask) - High resolution screenshot renders with low-res mipmaps. + Custom shaders. If you're into shader magic, it's the only choice :) + Quite easy to bake lighting (with indirect bounces), so it's good for enviro fragments. -

Thanks everyone! No Quixel though aside from some nDo magic for text n such. You aren't the first person to mention that. After looking at the ref more I think they used electrical tape, mine looks like dull packaging tape that should be glossier. I'll do some tweaking to it. Thanks! -

Hey guys, I'm one of the character artists on this project. I'm working on making the wolf look ethereal and magical, and a big spider queen, I'd love to have some help in making some ghostly particles and shaders. I have a fresnel effect for now, i'd love to hear what you think! -

Went camping, then went to Toronto right after, back at it now. New level: We are also improved the character selection screen (Capsized Moose worked his magics). We also discussed several gameplay modes to vary it up a bit. And finally we are thinking about new ways of implementing characters. -

http://eat3d.com/zbrush_hardsurface http://eat3d.com/dozer_part1 There is no magic bullet, just learn the basic and core ideas of how to model certain elements, and adapt however you need to. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they generate the Normal maps using nDo for the more 'straight details.… -

Great stuff Joopson! Thx :) What i don't get is why i only get an zip file and a log when i export a model.. Did you get that at some point? e-freak, dos "use Terrain Color" mean that it'll pick the underlying texture and blend it? That would be magical! -

when you bake from a high poly, assign a material and a different color to the high poly mesh and it's seperate peices. then in RTT, along with the normal map, bake out a diffuse. It'll be just plain colors that you assigned and then in photoshop you can magic wand on those colors to create your masks -

Honestly, i dont like the gameplay as much as TFC, timing gernades required mucho skill, the spy class is even more underpowered, the knife attacks to slow, no slow gun so hard to backstab, eh, other than that its ok, doesnt have the magic that TFC did though imo. -Buddikaman-
