yeah use renderdoc or gpa and get a frame grab. that will let you view textures/models as well as same them out to obj, dds, etc -

I searched more, and I found that FreeCAD can import obj, and can export both stp and igs so it looks like the problem is solved :) -

Thanks , I solved tough reexporting parts subdivided I guess the problem was about some items that where symetrical and others not exported as a single obj.... -

Hmm. I've never had a problem with HP meshes in xNormal. I've baked ~300mb OBJs with ease. Is there a certain limit that I have yet to run into? -

I exported as .obj, is it bad ? I could try FBX :) . EDIT: Same errors :( . I'll try with a custom cage like you supposed earlier. -

Oh, and the meshes look just fine in Unity as obj's. But I'm really wanting to use UDK for my projects. I'm banging my head on on this one. -

export the mesh as obj, reimport, as a new tool and see if that fixes it. if it does, you can now re-construct the lower subdivs and continue adding more, -

export the object out as an obj and import into a new scene, see if you still have performance issues? do you have the same problems with a cube? -

I didn't do a high poly because I lack zbrush or mudbox. Sculptris just seems to not work well with any obj I import. -

good question. OBJ export sometimes spits "you have a rat's nest" error messages, so there must be a way to check for hidden polygons at least.
