Also forgot to mention install notes in the readme, and the collision stuff only works on Maya 2012, 2013, and 2014.

How about just making the texture 512 x 1024? The UVs would probably fit better that way!

Post some pictures of the issues you are having. That might help. 512-1024 seems really high for lightmaps.
