Our idea for a throne room is inspired by Studio Ghiblis Spirited Away and Level 5s Ni No Kuni so will be in a natural environment with stone structures and Japanese design influence. This lovely concept by artist Juan Pablo Roldan is our starting point. Not sure on the deign of the actual throne yet - needs to be quirky…
Thanks for the tips, guys! My environment is almost complete! The Japanese scene from Tim Simpson's really inspired me to compose this one! Next I'm going to "give some more love" to the props that I have and start another environment where I can make use of Trim Sheets!
High def trailer http://www.singbluesilver.com/media/Transformers-teaser_480p.zip And I like the trailer very much. The old cartoon design and story can suck it. I just want to see big robots fighting. and for the comments on the US Godzilla movie sucking, so did almost all the japanese ones.
Btw, if anyone is interested, here are some resources I have used in the past: sprite rips: http://www.videogamesprites.net/Links/ http://www.gsarchives.net/index2.php http://www.tkool.jp/fancontents/lecture/graphic/ <-- in japanese, you might gain a bit of understanding running it through google translate…
I like this design! It's been a while, but I'm connecting this with Japanese Heavy Metal aesthetics, or the art direction you might find in a Tomonobu Itagaki game. Even in light of the fact that it was an original Guild Wars concept. I want to see this in a punk rocker's hand. Perhaps Dante from DMC.
Not really, no. Only the first two words in that sentence register an interest with me, and since we are online and everything I really don't have to play that game to see "supermodel librarians". :P I thought it was just me, but damn it looks pretty boring. God, I loathe Japanese games.
[ QUOTE ] That looks cool as Poop. Character work is fantastic. I don't know why, but I get the feeling that the gameplay will be a lot shallower than one would hope for though. [/ QUOTE ] Because nearly all Japanese FPS's have shallow gameplay? I'm holding my breath on this one.
Hey y'all, so I'm pretty new, I've been practicing a lot and thought I would go ahead and try a set. I wanted to have a go at my own concept(not much of a 2D artist) and translate it to a model. Thinking "Japanese ronin spear-man" set for PL. Let me know what ya think? :)
Currently I'm using spline deformer if I want something like path deform in Max but I wish there was a more simple tool. There was a japanese script for 301 which did almost exactly what I wanted but it's not working in 801. How do you approach a situation when you want to deform something along spline?
Well..... Way to scare the shit out of me for living on the beach. I guess all us Californians can really do..is be mindful, not fearful..and have a backpack of emergency supplies at all time. I wonder if such a disaster would happen, how orderly we would handle it compared to the awesome Japanese civilians.
