Looks sweet man. Think about pushing the stylised thing a little more maybe? He has this monster machine on his back so maybe you could make his musculature a little more top heavy or even push the asymmetry on to the side with the cannon arm. Great job on the facial hair.

Because while I haven't had time to learn to program yet, I have a desire to, so that I could recycle the model for games in the future. Because of that, I would like to use methods that would transfer into a game engine if possible.

I like it, cool monster design but doesn't really remind me of anything described in "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". Not very fishy. In fact I believe when it comes to things like hands and fingers they are described as being quite stumpy and underdeveloped, you've pretty much gone the total opposite direction here.
