When I did the enviros, our tech artist made a tool for us to covert strips of polys into crowd placements (even define the type of character it is). photosculpt seems like a interesting tool, and the real time displacement modifier for blender too. When I heard chronic mention the kind of 3d capturer, I linked it to using for example a 3d model in a movie, where the 3d object turns as the camera moves , as if part of the actual enviroment. Gettin spooky! Used UE4's displacement setting for the roof tiles because Epic decided tessellation wasn't needed :| Frankly I'm tired af of UV mapping planks lol.
