There is room for some optimization/simplification which could make the UV and baking processes easier. Especially on pieces so small that you'd probably not going to see them from a 3rd person perspective. Here's how I'd optimize it: Red is edges that you can probably remove and blue is how you could model some parts…
@Marshkin Well this isn't necessarily for a specific company, but I'm just asking in general. When I've looked at some companies' websites, sometimes they will have 1 of the 3 jobs listed. I've taken a look at the description when the job is listed, but I'm just curious if they are all basically the same thing, or if 1 of…
You're in the right genre now, you just need to shift to the right decade. Let's make this a bit easier. *Dog sniffs and growls* Guy 1 - "What is it, Chuck?" Guy 2 - "I smell it too. It smells like..." Guy 3 - "Collogne." Guy 1 - "Suddenly he knew what the night held in store for him..." *sniffs* "...and he liked the smell…
Descent 1&2 I was 10 yrs old when the Descent 1 demo came out in '94. And my endeavor into gamedev started when the mod team I was on (Midnight Squadron) tried to make a Descent 4 mod with Descent 3. Was torpedoed by Parallax, but that spark to build worlds never left. I still play D1/D2 on occasion.
For this contest I'm going to model this exquisite hand plane in Maya, bake it in Handplane and texture it in Substance Painter. These are the final renders from Marmoset Toolbag 3. I tried to replicate the look of the manufacturer's promotional images. This is the additional image showing the wireframe: This is the…
Revenue dosnt exist. it simply dosnt, im not even gonna consider that that they might be tricking you, look at it this way: first of the project you work on needs to be completed and published, which can take up to years. so are you gonna work for free for that long? secondly, its not guaranteed the project your working on…
I've unfortunately had an insanely busy week (24 hours spent on trains in 6 days, don't you just love England sometimes!), I haven't achieved as much as I'd like - in particular on the UDK front, I'm really behind on my engine imports. This is something I need to improve, so I will dedicate Saturday or my day off next week…
Know what I'm taking about? It goes like this: 1. Work on layer 200. 2. Move to layer 1 to work. 3. Make a mistake and 'Undo'. 4. Try again 5. Realize you're working on layer 200. /facepalm 6. 'Undo' 7. Go to step 2. I find this mildly annoying. Is there a way to disable this Photoshop "feature"? thx, -kp
i haven't seen use for it, but like when you stack mirrored uv's i think one is "on top" not sure on this, but maybe you could move the w space so your mirrored mesh sits behind instead of moving it to the 1-1 range, just a though, could be wrong on this....simply put the uv editor is still 3d and 3d has 3 coordinance.
Logitech MX518 is the absolute number 1 choice, in my opinion...looks like others feel the same as me too. Razer is good, but I've had THREE in the past, and none of them compares to the durability and life of Logitech's mouses (2 / 3 of the razer mouses died on me during use). I've only had 1 MX518 Logitech mouse ever…
