I think you've got some pretty skewed polygon densities. The head mesh seems to be well over 5000 triangles, maybe 7500 even. But I can see the polygons on his necklace and fingertips, and his feet end in a point - no toe geometry whatsoever.
I agree with building a PC. I think you could build a tiny Micro or Mini ITX build with 1 21" monitor and easily fit it on a small desk.
