It's going to be in the cryengine, and it will be viewed from a couple of different view points, from the rear when using it, and side o when reloading/adding attachments. could I create a box with alphas for the fibres, and just scale it in on itself, while keeping the UV scale the same, to get the layered look? -

Your Z-Buffer is too inaccurate. Usually that only happens when viewing objects very far away. Perhaps something set it to 8-bit, try fiddling around with your view and driver settings (I think Ati cards can enforce a certain ZBuffer depth). -

Would be easier to critique it if you would upload the reference you have for it and in what view it's supposed to view in e.g. fps/3rd person and so on. First reaction is that alot of the smaller details could easily be normalmapped and the polycount seems a wee bit high. -

Looking good! One thing I'd suggest taking a look at is the width of the torso from side view with the arms hidden. It looks rather thick to me at the moment. I think that's what gives the torso an odd shape to me in 3/4 view. -

I'd say the boobs are a bit too big, bigger than the concept, they make her head look smaller. I like her face from the side view, really cute, but yeah I agree with the others for the cheeks on the 3/4 view. -

in your view port menu there is a drag down menu that says show. Just uncheck cameras and any other non sense you don't need in the view port for modeling. Those check boxes are unaffected by the show and hide commands I posted. -

Really damn nice! If anything I want to see him more as the weapons are currently blocking most of the view haha Can you do a more zoomed in view just so I can enjoy seeing those body details :D -

It works fine if I set up the outputs and view them in 3D. And when I restarted designer, I was suddenly able to correctly view base materials in 3D as well, so I have no idea what was causing the problem. At least it's fixed. -
