There seem to be some problems with the outliner not updating hidden/not hidden status on dummy objects in the latest version. happens alot to me when using isolate selection, often some rootnodes stay visible in the outliner when they should not be.
Agree - rocks are hard :) I am also working on a stone statues and for first time i have to deal with stone :) - I rather try to sculpt girls - which is also very hard for me :) damn rocks :)
I don't have any first-hand experience doing it, but the 0AD project did it using SMD, so it might be worth a shot. FBX support in Blender is getting focus but I don't know the current status of it.
For a static object, such as a statue, it would work for sure! However, if you had to rig this, I think you would lose all the time saved working with such messy geometry. I also think the deformations would be problematic.
I do agree with everyone else on the lighting. I also feel like the four bottom screenshots are very similar maybe add more assets to the hallways like statues or maybe also a ceiling collapse as well.
I know :) I just know i love it when people say whats wrong and whats right with my image. But yeah I want to take my novice art to a concept artist status =D
comp wise i would -pull statue forward -push holes and rear of cave back -widen hole to the left - dot forget hole in rear to the back of the cave as i think this provides a nice VP cool
looks nice. Totally getting a Counterstrike Aztec vibe from it. I think this cyan is killing your scene a bit. I would go for something a bit more neutral. I dig the idea with the huge statues.
hey I really like the middle one. Cool statue you got there. Do you use photos of stuff in your pics at all? Some of it looks extremely realistic. Nice bright colours too. Arco
Ooops, My bad. I forgot to mention than some bones should show through, like the spine and the Iliac crest of the pelvis. However, she looks great already. Sort or reminicent of an ancient Roman statue.
