Srsly. Yellowstone scares the pants out of me. This other stuff does too, though. Gah! So much weird stuff. Animal die-offs, huge earthquakes, civil unrest in the Middle-east and Afrika (I spell it that way) It's all just so crazy. I don't know what to think on days like these.
If you wait another month or so, the Anatomy4Artists book should be available. I've been doing some proof reading for them so have gotten a good look at what's inside. It's going to be a really great resource - I feel like I learned quite a bit simply by going through looking for spelling and grammatical errors.
It works...but not as i expected it to work. Basicly while using Nitrus (cba to spell it proper every time) the script did nothing. But when i went back to OpenGL the problem looked worse at first, until i opened the script and just hit apply. Then it fixed everything. Would be intresting to know how and why this happend…
dunno who else from the Crytek folk is around here but HP and me are here atleast. We'll probably see and can check what you do in the evenings so we can grab some good food with our usual regular's table :) one thing (nitpicky): if you're applying, please spell it Crytek ;)
I tried that earlier, 2GB'S NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION HOLY SHIT HAVE THEY HEARD OF DXT COMPRESSION it runs too slow on my computer AND my bro's axp3200 The spellcasting system is a bit buggy though, because it leaves a short trail from the center whenever i start drawing the spell gesture, always messing me up
MoP, hahaha, damn spell checkers, hahaha! Or maybe it was subconious. Maybe I am afraid of Jack becoming so popular that he would run for president and win! We all know Bush started the war on terror because he plays too much CounterStrike. Maybe Jack could work that into his campaign?
Hi, Polycount. :poly121: I've got the following problem with Lightmass and Lightmaps: As you can see, there is a nasty black gradient in the 2 corners of the fusebox. The problem presents itself when the light is not directly in front of the asset. The more severe the angle - the worse it gets. This gradient always appears…
The first thing that jumps out at me is the long thin tri at the front of the shell exit. It might be wise to carry that loop around the front instead. With the way it is now I don't see it smoothing any better no matter what tricks you pull. You can control the smoothing with more geometry but it costs ya tris you might…
Hi Dekard. I added something about this to the CGTalk wiki, might help you... If you want to mirror the UVs, or you want to reuse parts of the normal map by overlaying multiple UV shells in the same UV space, then simply move all those overlapped/mirrored shells one unit over on the U or V axis before you bake the normal…
Hi Guys, I am looking for some advice or help on UV techniques. I know the whole process is relatively simple but I was wondering if there are any 'tricks of the trade' for UV'ing models quickly. I have a low poly asset I want to UV, there is a lot of faces which go in different directions (from extrudes etc.) My usual way…
