Hey, got a few questions about Maya. 1: array (or I think this is the correct name.) for example: I made a book and now I want to put it in a array so that it randomizes the x for every new book on the shelf. (I have seen a similar option available for particles.) 2: Face normal placement If I grab a object I want to be…
As my title says, I am trying to render something for my class and the glass textures are appearing black, when in painter I gave them a blue texture. And it also doesn't let me use transmission.
armagon9177: Stop seeing it so one sided. No one here is trying to insult you, they're saying in their own way to look at some people's points. We're not ignoring you, or even trying activly to insult you (well, maybe now since you didn't get it the first 7 times it was said). The reason you feel people are personally…
yea see thats the thing I hear is hard with this kinda career, dont get me wrong theres nothing else on the planet I rather be doing than 3d. @gnoop: Ah, I see. I also thought the old DDO felt a bit more "procedural" which also had its drawbacks in that rerendering at higher resolution often looked too different for me. But I too would like to see some of the old effects coming back. @Eric: I noticed the mouseover popup for the ID map has example pictures of…

But i guess that's the case when you already get into a company/industry. But what if…
i tried to create a kiosk and painted some height details at first but in the normal map the lines are too jagged and not smooth. can i get much more good results by tweaking setting or anything. thanks.
Ok, so trying OctoKubes method and running into issues. I've exported my mesh but it's so incredibly tiny in max that I can't see it. Scaling it up in max doesn't help. I tried setting the zbrush export scale to 100 for giggles, still can't see it :/ edit : yet using Goz makes it show fine. Hmmm...
