Not really happy with today and painting and painting rocks are really hard : ^). I don't know what I'm doing and the paintings and sketches take a long time. I'll try to watch a little more videos on hwo to paint rocks @_@.
Very cool stuff. I can see this working great for table props and piles of trash. I've been messing with the app. Thanks for bringing it to our attention! I am super impressed by the rock results. Keep rocking! :)
I like like like this. Have you taken a look at the desert rock that comes with UDK? It has a lot of detail maps and they make it look awesome. You should definitely try to implement detail normal maps in these rocks.
Thats a gross generalisation. :P I'm all for rocking the boat, I think as a Lead it's your job to bring up concerns and protect those under you. Sorry to be crass but fuck worrying about salary. If people don't know they are skilled enough to get another job, maybe the aren't skilled enough for the one they have. Being a…
Thanks for the feedback @ThisisVictoriaZ ! I actually sculpted the cliff rocks that way to kinda direct towards the door. Looking at my main ref again though, it seems all the rock assets are, indeed, blocky but it's the way they're positioned that gives off a slight directional feel.
Seeing this really puts back into perspective that we are on a rock which is liable to things hitting us. People usually say "oh a big thing will never hit us", this prooves that big rocks can hit us and there is literally nothing you can do about it.
Hey, You made very good improvements. Sure, the cactuses could use more polys, and be less flat at their top and you can always add more variation in the rocks and vegetation. But overall you have a solid base. What was your process for the rock formations?
Great update , you should make your rock better . it's look too smooth try to use zbrsuh to sclupt your rock, you going to get some nice result . and take care about the scale :) good luck , can't wait to see more
very cool, looking forward to more updates. Only thing I could say right now is that the rock on the left thats in the background is merging with the foreground rock and makes it seem off a little but thats probably because of the lack of materials. Nice job so far!
I'm still not sold on the wood texture though. Just my two cents but it looks more like rock in terms of flow and jaggedness.. Other than that, really great work. I like the rock texture a lot. How long did it take you to paint it?
