That's the issue indeed, it's also sluggish on non-complicated materials. I just tried a simple custom material - one spec and one diffuse - and it's taking the same amount of time it would for an uber material. crazy concept! the fingers are too straight.. you should curve them a little to make them seem more organic. i'd say the arms are a lil too long.. he can almost grab his knees. tho it kinda makes him look creepy.. might not actually be a bad thing. the shoulders shouldn't extend down so much into the upper arm. at least… -

Looks like you should be able to do this with just a species mod. The species type has a value for DodgeSpeedZ. Hey, I reworked the proportions some and changed the leg plating so that it wouldn't mess with animation as much.
