There are a lot of things to discuss. I think you would benefit from some material swapping. Everything is would I like the reference posted above of the sheet metal roof, however if you decide to keep the wood you need to add sawed off ends to the roof on each "layered bit" right now it looks like one wood texture… -

im not totally read up on a lot of hardware at the moment..usually do when i need to upgrade and forget after, but the one thing id recommend is to get an SSD. nothing gives you the uprgade feel like an SSD does! i didnt believe it until i got one and damn things run fast. Obviously it doesnt really help calculation speed… -

Beautiful lighting, textures, and breakup of the modular pieces. Can someone explain how there are three maps for each channel? I assume there is some blending between them with something like mesh paint, and maybe some way to swap the textures in and out of their respective channels, if it is all in one master shader.… -

Okay I toyed with this a little more. Most notably I used a nice plug-in to convert to normal maps. I used it to give the existing normal map a bit more texture. I also made a new lighting set up. It's the sunlight preset with a few spotlights. I snagged some screen shots as the turn-table hit some nice shiny angles. :)… -

Actually, BSOD can come from anything hardware and/or driver related. I've seen it happen which screwed up mobo drivers, or swapping in a new mobo/CPU. But these days, it's rare to have a BSOD due to a software/application issue anymore, so if you have a BSOD, it's always good to start checking the hardware, including… -

Maybe it's just that the floorplates are like 2,5 times wider than a character is tall. I like the proportions, but I'm just struggling with the overall scale. I might just try scaling the entire scene down to 80% or something, and playing like that. But then I hit that snag again with UDK's grid. I can't change it, so… -
