Its not much noisier if you use the right settings. CPU does work different so you need different settings. Turn on adaptive and set it to 50+ samples. -

They just announced a price reduction, they feel the made mistake. It is now 75$ or 50% off the price. I didn't mind the pricing but lowering the price is a very cool gesture. -
