Hello everyone! First time trying one of these challenges, same with working in Unreal Engine. I got a bit carried away and added an exterior view because I was having troubles trying to figure out what to put in the reflection of the glass... I tried to do all the texturing in Mixer but I'll probably need to finish a few…
I tried a different flow just to see if I liked the lighting better, and frankly knocking out an entire wall helped dramatically but cost me that temple feel, but I think I know where to go from here thanks to some critique from a couple of friends. I sculpted some bizzare creatures sitting in some chairs, so what I'm…
I think I may end up doing something with melscript, I came across a script on highend3d ( creativecrash ) that will create a stencil on an object based on another objects geometric profile, if I can somehow calculate and possibly convert to geometry the shadow volume, then I can utilise the stencil scripts functions to…
Created a galvanized steel material and some ducts. Truth be told I love simple props. I think with the ducts I don't need a fan anymore. The roof just feels a bit empty, and the part where the wall meets the roof feels a bit odd. Going to adjust the layout of the bar as well. It's a bit too much of a boring square shape.…
Here I am again :) For what concern roof tiles (cause these are roof tiles, right?) they look good but you need to paint some AO then you're probably set with that. For my personal tastes I would adjust a bit the orange tiles cause I don't like the contrast with the other two variations. in this image I did a quick color…
great stuff. there's not much animation, but it's still fun to look at. my suggestion would be to change when the towels/cloths start folding. It might be the style you're going but those items start folding in midair before they touch the briefcase and don't react to the new stimulus put on it. i can imagine this change…
Brick texture looks good to me. Some crits: 1) you definitely need some dirt under windows and under the roof edge. 2) the topmost row of bricks is cut in half by concrete. That is pretty visible so some UV tweak could be good there. 3) Concrete section in front of the gate looks almost like plain gray color. It needs more…
After reading "Tuf voyaging" by George R.R. Martin in the past holidays I've been experiencing this longing feeling when IT'S JUST ENOUGH YOU SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN MORE OF IT. So this will be my attempt to quench this thirst because judging from the speed of GRRM I can expect new Tuf's book by 2050 when it will be written by…
@jwsargent_me Thank you! Threw a few more textures on today and redesigned the scene a bit. I think it became better, but can still be improved. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make a cooler scene, that would be truly welcomed. I added some geometry to the walls, I think it became much better. Every brick is now…
Off to a decent start. I think some of the core proportions are off. Like the windows on either side of the door. It's pretty symmetrical in real life but the model is a bit squished on the left side (models right). Don't forget to model out the indents in the trim under the windows, also the wall mounted fire hydrant…
