In my experience, alpha in a separate texture makes sense on a console, but not on a PC. Apparently a state change (when part of a mesh changes from one material to another) doesn't have as big an impact on a console as on a PC, but the cost of rendering alpha is higher on a console. So splitting the alpha makes sense… -

It's all about the games though. PS3 and 360 will have great games, no doubt about it. My Gamecube is still sitting there with 3 games next to it, while my PS2 and Xbox are living it up with 20+ games each. AOL sucks ass big time. Really pissed me off the way they penalise anyone not wanting to use their bloated AOL software. They wouldn't let me send more than 1 email every half hour using Outlook. XBox 360 wouldn't work online either with AOL. Just changed to BT Internet and this is great, everything works and I can send… -

Ya RE4 for the Wii, IMO is the best version. I don't even want to play RE5 unless it comes out on the Wii. The RE5 360 controls feel like complete ass to me after playing through RE4 on the Wii. If it's anything like the Tegra X1, it's the full Nvidia desktop grade architecture. The K1 came out in 2014 and had the GFLOP (~350) performance of the PS3/360.
